Four inter-related problems threaten the future of the legal profession and the future of law schools: 1. Many lawyers don’t have enough work. 2. People who have legal problems are not receiving legal assistance. 3. Graduating law students are saddled with debt and unprepared for reality. 4. The structure of law schools is obsolete. Marc Lauritsen believes that teaching students how to develop useful software applications can address these problems.
